I just got a call from the nice people at Bean’s daycare. They’re concerned – her left eye is kind of bloodshot and seems irritated. Pinkeye has been making the rounds, and they fear she has it. I’m 99% sure she does NOT have it.
Bean has already had pinkeye this year. Twice, in fact. What she has right now is an irritated eye because last night in the back yard she decided to stick her head in the sandbox. I guess we’re lucky that she only got sand in ONE eye and not both of them. I explained what happened to the person from daycare. She said she’d check with the director and call me back.
Is it wrong that I don’t want to pick Veronica up and rush her right over to the doctor? Sometimes you have to trust your mother’s instinct, right? And my instinct could be way off, but it’s telling me she isn’t sick, she just got sand in her eye last night and it’s still irritated today.
Tomorrow, if she’s still goopy/bloodshot, we’ll consider a trip to the doctor. Unless daycare forces me to come pick her up today. Then I don’t know what I’ll do.
